Do not treat a gap in one product as proof about another. An event without fingerprints may never reach the NSP RAP. A court case can exist after the booking entry rolls off a receiving jail's recent list. A report can remain with the agency even if no charge is filed.

An NSP result can thus differ from an agency report or court docket. The law changes what may be released through the public history product; it does not turn the RAP into a current custody locator.
Booking Logs and Recent Arrests

Wheeler Arrest Authority and Custody
A May 2025 Nebraska Public Media report said the Wheeler County Sheriff entered a federal 287(g) task-force agreement, the first task-force-model agreement in Nebraska at that time. The report also described highway enforcement and stated that Wheeler County had no jail. This policy development concerns arrest authority and interagency work. It does not create a local residential booking database.
The distinction helps explain the record path. An officer may make a roadside arrest in Wheeler County, the sheriff may hold the person briefly, and another county may provide residential custody. Agency records, booking records, and later court records remain separate even when one event links them.
